Good Morning!!
Thank you for stopping by to check out my blog! I have been wanting to try my hand at a blog for a very long time. I have talked with my husband numerous times about wanting to dabble with writing and perhaps this may be the best way I can get some words on paper. In 2024, this season of life has brought about change for our family and I knew it was time to push fear aside.
As most my readers are family and friends, let me introduce myself for a few new friends. I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Rob, since 2022. We met on a blind date and have been inseparable ever since. We welcomed our son, Neil Lucas, into the world in September and being his mom has been one of the most incredible moments of my life. Our little family of three is now my primary focus and basically my main topic of all conversations. But that’s what being a wife and mother is about, right?! We are parents in our 30’s so we have waited awhile for our season of life so I apologize in advance for all the picture you just might see.
The beginning of the year I decided to take a step back from social media with being a wife, mom, and having a full-time career I am finding that time is escaping me. I was falling into the trap of scrolling just 5 minutes here and 10 minutes there and before you know it an hour has passed by. I want to use any extra time I have to refocus back onto my family, my home, or even friendships. I always welcome texts or calls from friends.
In Our Willow Home… will be a monthly blog update on our family, house projects, decorating, garden, recipes, etc… I love early mornings while the world is still asleep as the silence and dim lights make the world feel so cozy and small. So, grab your favorite blanket and cup of coffee…
As much as I love December with celebrating Christmas, I just love the birth of a new year when January rolls around. I feel like there is so much positivity, hope, and excitement for what that year can bring and will bring. I never make resolutions because, who is really good at keeping them?! I set goals and manageable ones. This season I purposefully did not go unrealistic because I need to be intently planning.
Neil, turned 4 months old on the 18th of January with a weigh in at the doctor of 12.0 lbs. He is all smiles and coos!! He is sure trying his best with his vowels with all his babbling! I never dreamed it was possible to love another stage as much as I loved the newborn stage but each stage with him has been amazing. The baby scrunches and grunts are forever itched into memory. I am so thankful I get to be his momma!
With February already here and this being more of an introductory post, be looking for a Valentines blog at the end of the month. Until then...
XO,
Bethany
